This painting marked a real “breakthrough” moment for Susie's artwork. All the ideas for the direction she wanted to move towards came together as she blended her favourite aspects of the Perthshire landscape, colour, texture, abstraction and light into one painting. To Susie, there’s something so meaningful about an artwork that captures the essence of a place, its heart and soul. And that is what she hopes to have achieved here.
