Apply to exhibit

We're always looking for new artists, established or emerging, and while we do focus on local artists we will consider anyone whose work fits the Artisanand ethos. The works we seek are quirky conceptual pieces with true originality and we have a growing reputation for 3D media and so seek artists in any media.

We change our exhibitions every 6 weeks, except for the winter when our exhibition is for 12 weeks and we offer a rolling mixed exhibition allowing artists to bring in work in during the exhibition (with notice!).

Next Steps:

  1. Either visit the gallery or check out our exhibitions online (instagram - artisan.and or FB - artisanand), its important that you understand what we offer and how your work would fit in. We work closely with our artists and feel its important that both sides feel the relationship would benefit. We invest in our artists and so want to foster a long term relationship.

2. Send an email in the first instance to angela@artisanand.co.uk including;

- Your name and location

- details of your training and practical experience (we have self-taught artists so there is no requirement other

   than the work is of a standard to be exhibited)

- details of past exhibitions, names of galleries that represent you, artisan markets, etc and their locations with         dates. You don't need to have any experience, its just helpful to understand if you do.

- images of your work and indicative prices (we'll discuss pricing when you are exhibiting, this is only for indicative

  purposes)

3.  If I feel your work would fit Artisanand I will get back to you and provide T&C's, exhibition arrangements, etc, before         arranging an appointment for you to come in and show me physical examples of your work and for us to discuss

     exhibition dates and all other arrangements. Please note that at times, due to the volume of enquiries we receive, it         may not be possible to reply to everyone but I will certainly try.

Please note our guidance for exhibiting in other galleries within 30 minutes of Aberfeldy (including Pitlochry, Dunkeld, Crieff, etc). While we don't operate exclusivity with artists, understanding an artists need to exhibit at alternative locations, ideally we would suggest not exhibiting at the same time in such close locations as visitors to the area will visit all these towns if staying in the area for any time. If you do want to exhibit in  nearby locations I would suggest you consider different styles of work or media ie. oils versus limited edition prints.

That said, we also recommend checking with any other local gallery you are already exhibiting with, or considering exhibiting with, to understand their stance on exhibiting locally so you understand any restrictions that may apply.

I look forward to hearing from you!
