Margaret Rae

Margaret gained skills and developed her jewellery making in classes and workshops at La Vidalerie, a beautiful converted farmhouse in the Aveyron region of France. She now works from home in a small workshop in her garden.

Working mainly in sterling silver, copper and aluminium incorporating glass beads and semi-precious stones. the techniques she uses include hammering, stamping, texturing, fold forming and Keum Boo. Pieces also include wire work and chain maille.

All earwires are handmade from sterling silver, as are some of the clasps.

Margaret's inspiration comes from nature, shapes and patterns seen around her.
