Barbara Thomson - Silverpickle

A jewellery designer and maker who works from a studio at her home in Bankfoot, Perthshire. Silverpickle was launched in 2015, predominantly self-taught, attending courses helping develop the traditional jewellery techniques she uses like wax carving and sand casting that augment her existing skills. Barbara is a self-confessed heart lover and hearts figure strongly in her collection among other strong designs that are very identifiable as being part of the Silverpickle aesthetic.

Barbara's sterling silver jewellery is chunky and is very much something she wears herself, its easy to find signature pieces you'd love in her collections. Barbara incorporates pops of colour through the use of gemstones as well as 9ct gold in her designs.

This collection was designed specifically for Artisanand but she does take commissions and bespoke orders directly as well.
